P.J.C.I. Kendo Dojo

Attendance Policy
(Effective - June 2008)

General Attendance

As mentioned prior to joining P.J.C.I. Dojo, the Senseis are teaching you kendo on a voluntary basis and not being paid for their services. That being the case, you are expected to make an effort to attend practices on a regular basis. We will now start taking attendance by having a sign-in sheet that each individual is responsible to check off their name. * Even if you’re injured, you can attend practice and it will count as attendance.

If you do not attend practices for 3 months, this means, you are no longer interested in practicing at P.J.C.I. Kendo Dojo and will be taken off of our roster. If you intend on coming back, you will be required to go through the joining process all over again (Initiation Fee, Monthly Dues, P.J.C.I. membership dues).

Tournament Participation

If you intend on participating in tournaments, you must attend at least 3 practices per month from the last held tournament to the deadline date for the application forms to be due.

Also, if you’re going to participate at tournaments, you’re expected to stay until the end of the tournament. If you do not stay, you will not be able to attend the next tournament.

Shinkyu Shinsa Participation

If you intend on participating at the Shinkyu Shinsa, you must attend at least 2 practices per month starting from the beginning of the year.

Also, it is the responsibility of the Senseis to determine what rank that you’re testing for and not you or other kenshi.
