Pasadena Kendo Dojo was founded in 1955. One of the original members Maki Miyahara Sensei (senior instructor) has a rank of Hanshi Hachi Dan (8th Degree Black Belt), is still teaching at the age of 85+ years young, and is a member of the Black Belt Magazine Hall Of Fame.
